The Sonoma County Fair is full of fantastic photo ops - from the portly pigs in the livestock areas to the lights of the carnival rides at night. If you're like most people, you're toting a camera around to capture memories on film just as enthusiastically as you are about forgetting the calories in a delicious plate of greasy fair food.
So why not reap the rewards for something you're already doing?
Take a photo at the 2012 Sonoma County Fair and enter it into one of four categories of the 2012 Sonoma County Fair Contest:
- Fun & Games
- Agriculture, Arts & Crafts
- Animal Attractions
- Entertainment
No purchase necessary. Must be 21 or older to enter. Limit one (1) entry per household.
Deadline to enter: 11:59 pm Sunday, August 5, 2012.
Photo submission must:
a) be a photograph taken at the 2012 Sonoma County Fair
b) be suitable for all persons of all ages
c) must not contain any copyrighted works
d) not have been previously published nor can it be a professional photo, or a photo copied from the internet
Please respect the privacy of others when taking photos. All photos that include a person other than your immediate family must provide a photo release upon request.
Prizes: Four First prize Fair Packages (one for each category) will be awarded.
Prize package includes:
3 general fair admission tickets
2 child fair admission tickets
1 parking pass
Plus 2 tickets to their choice of one of the following concerts/acts*:
~ Martina McBride, Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7:30 pm
~ Third Eye Blind, Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 7:30 pm
~ Miranda Cosgrove, Thursday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 pm
~ Jim Belushi & the Sacred Hearts, Fri., Aug. 10 at 7:30 pm
~ DESTRUCTION DERBY, Saturday Aug. 11 at 7 pm
~ Lucha Libre Wrestling, Sunday, Aug. 12 at 7 pm
* Concerts are subject to selling out and not all concerts/acts may be available for all winners.
Prize value: $66-$106 per prize
